Here's irony:

Wearing a dove pendant on a $20,000 gown in order to lobby to keep the world's most brutal dictator in power.

Accepting an award for a movie you did about the atrocities of Hitler and using your acceptance speech to lobby to keep the world's most brutal dictator in power.

Go, Hollywood.

More irony:

Claiming that fighting with the UN for months, committing hundreds of thousands of troops, working towards a coalition, and spending hundreds of billions of dollars is all for "oil", when we could have simply lifted the sanctions at any time, doing business with the world's most brutal dictator, and getting their oil basically at cost.

Bringing Molotov cocktails to a "peace" rally when you don't even have a fucking clue what you're talking about in the first place when you chant "peace" or why the hell you have it so fantastically good in this country.

Holding up a sign reading "we support the Iraqi people" while demonstrating to keep the world's most brutal dictator in power.

The "Human Shield" member who returned to the states having experienced a revelation in his thinking on the whole subject after he learned of the horrors of the Baath party and how many Iraqis are praying the US can hurry and remove them from power.

The fact that Huda Amash, former Denton resident and TWU graduate, expert on biological warfare, is a member of Saddam's Cabinet.
